No two teams in the NFL are better at finding ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory than the Chargers and Falcons, so you know something crazy is bound to happen when they play each other.
Something crazy ended up happening late in the fourth quarter when both teams managed to lose fumbles on the same crucial play.
The situation: Los Angeles is driving down the field for a potential game-winning field goal when running back Austin Ekeler fumbles the ball, allowing it to be recovered by Atlanta's Ta'Quon Graham. As Graham ran down the sidelines, appearing to give Atlanta a chance to win the game, he just flat-out dropped the ball. That allowed Chargers offensive lineman Matt Feiler to fall on it to regain possession for the Chargers.
WHAT just happened in Atlanta?!

The Chargers ended up losing about 25 yards of field position on the play, but they did maintain possession and get a fresh set of downs due to the change in possessions. They took advantage of it. On the very next play, Justin Herbert connected with Joshua Palmer for a 22-yard completion. That set the stage for kicker Cameron Dicker to kick a game-winning 37-yard field goal as time expired, giving them a 20-17 win to improve to 5-3 on the season.
The defeat leaves the Falcons at 4-5 on the season.
